What are the benefits of staying at the Polynesian vs. Wilderness Lodge?

    Hi Nicole,

Both resorts are beautiful, and you'll have a great vacation staying at either one.  The Polynesian does have a slight advantage over Wilderness Lodge when it comes to location.  It's super convenient to get to the Magic Kingdom from both resorts; however, being on the monorail line makes transportation to Epcot easier from the Polynesian.

Also, the rooms at the Polynesian are larger than those at Wilderness Lodge.  If you have 4 or 5 people staying in one room, you might like having some extra space.

Finally, as a guest at the Polynesian, it's easy to stroll down to the beach in the evening to enjoy the nightly fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.  Trees tend to block your view from Wilderness Lodge, but you have a wonderful view from the Polynesian.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
