Do you still get the benefits of extra park hours when staying at Fort Wilderness. I know they usually ask for room key, so I was just wondering? And are all the extra activities at the campground for an additional fee?

    Howdy Kelly!

I love love LOVE Fort Wilderness!  My countdown to our next stay there is 6 long days away.  As a resort guest of Fort Wilderness, you get all the same perks as if you were staying in any other resort in Disney World.  You will still receive a Key to the World Card (which serves as a room key if staying in a traditional resort room) whether you are staying in a cabin or a campsite.

There’s lots to do at Fort Wilderness for FREE!  My favorite activity is the Chip’n Dale’s Campfire Sing-along.  You can either bring your own smores supplies or buy them there and roast your marshmallows around one of two campfires.  Chip and Dale make an appearance for a good ‘ole fashion sing-a-long!  Afterwards, a movie under the stars is shown.

There are also 2 resort pools to play and relax in.  Please note: The Wilderness Pool will be closed for renovations starting May 2, 2011 and is expected to be completed by June 15, 2011.  (This is the smaller of the two pools)

    Enjoy your vacation!
