Jambo Dawn!
Welcome to planDisney and “Asante Sana” (thank you) for sending us an excellent question about your upcoming vacation at Walt Disney World. I had to fight the urge to add “squash banana” like Rafiki does!
I applaud you wanting to “be prepared” as Scar would say about the check-in process and maximizing every minute you have. Every time I return home to Walt Disney World, there’s something new and exciting that I haven’t experienced yet. Sounds like the lyrics from “Circle of Life”: “There’s more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done.”
If you do arrive before Check-In time, “Hakuna Matata!” Simply leave your bags and take off for one of the parks or Disney Springs. Bell Services will be more than happy to
check your luggage for you if your room is not ready. Upon your return to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can claim the bags from Bell Services or have them delivered to your room. I recommend a few dollars per bag as an appropriate tip. These are challenging times, and I’m sure you will agree that it’s a nice expression of our appreciation for their assistance.
With the easy peasy
Online Check-In feature, guests will receive notification with room information as soon as it’s ready. You will then use either your
MagicBand or the
Unlock Door feature on your phone to access your room, skipping the front desk entirely!
After so many references to
The Lion King, I hope you've made time in your schedule to visit
Disney's Animal Kingdom. One of my absolute favorite attractions is
Kilimanjaro Safaris with its diverse wildlife and lush landscape. I feel like I've been transported to Africa with every experience!
Swing back by planDisney anytime as you continue your vacation planning. We take great PRIDE in being able to answer questions about the Most Magical Place on Earth. Have a marvelous vacation!
