Hello and welcome, Christine! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney to ask your question.
I always love arriving as early as possible to get a jump start on my
Walt Disney World vacation. I think you'll be happy to know that you can still absolutely store your luggage with Bell Services while you wait for your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room to be ready. When you arrive, just look for the Bell Services counter. Sometimes they are right outside the lobby area and sometimes they are inside but you won't miss it. The Cast Member helping you will count the number of pieces that you'd like them to store and give you a small receipt to hold on to. They are even able to keep perishables cold if you have any. You'll just need to pull those aside and show them what you would like to be kept cold. After that, you are free to enjoy the day. When your room is ready, you can swing by that same desk and collect your thins before heading off to your room or you can go there first and use the in-room phone to call down to the desk and ask that your things be brought up to your room. Either one is fine and is a complimentary service to you. I do tip the Cast Members a few dollars for helping me. This totally isn't expected but they are always very appreciative of it.
If you aren't spending your arrival day at a Walt Disney World Theme Park, I suggest heading over to
Disney Springs. Disney Springs is the shopping, dining and entertainment hub of Walt Disney World. In fact, most evenings you can find me hanging out down there enjoying a great meal and listening to some live music. I absolutely love Disney Springs.
The BOATHOUSE is my favorite restaurant there and would be a great kick-off meal to your vacation. There is something on the menu for everyone! Right now, my go-to order is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. Always! If there's room my family and I like to share the key lime pie in a jar for dessert. It's an incredible meal!
I hope you have a wonderful vacation, Christine. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have a great day!
