I believe I read somewhere that a Magic Band could be connected to a different account? How can I find out about doing this? Thanks

Hello, Jo. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I actually tried to reassign a MagicBand for my daughter's friend not too long ago. I was having such a hard time figuring out how to do it so I set out to do some research. What I found out was that at this time, once a MagicBand is assigned to a particular Guest's My Disney Experience account it cannot be transferred to anyone else. It's as unique to you as your fingerprint. If you're needing another MagicBand, you can always purchase one when you arrive in June for your vacation. If you need it before your trip, visit the ShopDisney website and check out the selection. Right now, there are over 60 designs to choose from.  If you do purchase a new MagicBand, no worries because the unique user can use them from trip to trip. All you have to do is assign your new tickets in your My Disney Experience account and make sure your MagicBand is active. Scan at the entrance of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks touching Mickey to Mickey and off you go to enjoy the magic.

I hope this helps you. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
