I believe I read in the Birnbaum's 2009 Walt Disney book that Southwest was a participating airline in that the Magical Express would take your bags BOTH WAYS to and from resort. I see some places in the panel that is not the case. Could you clarify?!?!?

Southwest is the only way we fly to Florida, as it offers great prices and a number of direct flights to Orlando. You will be happy to know, Disney's Magical Express is available to guests flying on all airlines, including Southwest, into the Orlando area. If you have registered with Magical Express, prior to your departure, you will receive a booklet that has inside your vouchers for your shuttle ride and luggage tags for your bags. You should place one of these yellow tags on each piece of luggage you are checking. Upon your arrival to the Orlando airport, there is no need to go to baggage claim, just proceed directly to the Magical Express counter located on Level 1 of the B terminal. Disney will gather your bags from your Southwest flight and transport them directly to your resort room.
On your return flight home, things are a little different. Disney World offers resort airline check-in  for select airlines including AirTran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Northwest, United and US Airways. If you are flying one of these airlines, you can check in with your airline right at the desk located in your WDW resort. You will need to show a photo id,  they will collect your bags and give you a boarding pass. When you arrive at Orlando's airport you will be able to proceed directly to the security gates and your bags will already be sent to your airline for you.
If you are not flying on one of these above airlines and are using another carrier, like Southwest, you will need to bring your luggage with you on the Magical Express shuttle ride to the airport. Simply bring your luggage with you to the driver when you are picked up for your ride back to the airport. He will stow the bags on the bus and return them to you when you arrive at the airport. There will be luggage carts available for rental if you need help getting your bags to the check in counter which is a few levels up from the shuttle drop off area.
    Have a safe flight!
