I believe they are no longer delivering park purchases to your hotel room, but do they offer any alternative? We are looking at purchasing 3 droids on our Hollywood Studios day and prefer not to carry them around the park. thank you.

Bright suns, Nicole, and welcome to planDisney! I sense the Force is strong with you and your question, so I’d be happy to help!

Normally, you’d be able to use Resort Hotel Delivery to have your park purchases delivered directly to your hotel. However, as you mentioned, package delivery to the front of the theme parks or to Disney Resort hotels is currently suspended. I'm happy to report that there is another option to avoid carrying around your droids all day! Instead, you can choose to ship your droids directly to your home – just alert the Cast Member at the point of purchase if you'd like to select this option. If you don’t plan on using your droids until you get home, I think this may be your best bet. After my son built his custom astromech droid unit, we made the mistake of carrying it around the park the rest of the day, and it was a bit of a pain to maneuver on attractions!

I have two other suggestions, too. First, you could rent a locker to store your droids until you’re ready to leave the park. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find locker rentals at Crossroads of the World, which is located near the entrance and exit of the theme park. Or, you could purchase comfortable backpacks made especially for your new droids! My son loves wearing his droid backpack (which was purchased at Droid Depot) around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so his droid can interact with the other droids there. Just watch out for Kylo Ren and the Storm Troopers… they may have a few questions for you if they come across your droids!

After creating your very own droids, you’re bound to be thirsty! So, I recommend making a reservation for Oga’s Cantina, the local watering hole in Black Spire Outpost. There are even non-alcoholic beverages for the whole family to try, including my son’s favorite, the Blue Bantha.

I hope this information helps, Nicole. I can’t wait for you and your family to live out your very own Star Wars adventures in November!

May the Force be with you!
