Does the Behind our Steam Trains Tour usually run in November? The schedule for then isn't out yet and the tour is a gift for someone. Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question. I love your idea of giving a Walt Disney World tour as a gift! My family and I were gifted a tour a few years ago - it was such a special experience, and one we talk about all the time.

Heather, I think your best bet is to call the Tours reservations line at (407) 939-8687. The Cast Members there will have an idea of the way the tours are scheduled and can answer any questions you may have about the Disney’s The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour or any other tours of interest.

I recently took part in an amazing tour of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and our tour guide shared some really interesting information about Walt Disney’s fascination with trains. We visited the resort’s Carolwood Pacific Room, which is home to two actual cars from the Lilly Belle, the train Walt had in his childhood backyard. This room has all kinds of train memorabilia, and the tour guide tells wonderful stories about Walt’s love of trains and their significance in his life and work. You can get more information about the tour, and sign up, at the resort’s front desk. If you have a train enthusiast in your life, a trip over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, a tour, and a meal at Whispering Canyon Café or Artist Point would be a fun and unique Disney activity.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,

    Robyn
