Hey Howdy Hey Logan and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question on tours available at the Walt Disney World Resort. Walt Disney World is home to some of the most iconic attractions and theme parks in the world and it is so interesting to take these tours to get more information on the history as well as peak behind the curtain of operations. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into tours available at EPCOT.
The UnDISCOVERed Future World Tour in EPCOT was a 4-hour walking tour taking Guests around the park for the history of several of the big attractions as well as peaks behind operations of the Magic. This was one of the many tours that was initially impacted by the COVID-19 closures and has yet to come back as you mentioned. There are so many rumors about when and why these tours and other experiences have yet to return and with no official word from Disney on the status of this tour, we are left guessing on its return. One thing that I can tell you is that there has been a large reimagination of EPCOT over the past several years which continues today. This may be one of the larger reasons for the extended pause of tours such as these as the construction may have significantly impacted what Guests would and would not be able to experience as well as the efficiency of navigating the parks being significantly impacted as well. As construction winds down, we may see experiences such as these return, but only time will tell.
In the meantime, if you are interested in tours in EPCOT, you can find the specific page under the
Special Events and Tours section where you will find the current tours available as well as links to book your tours. I am an avid gardener and one of my favorites is the
Behind the Seeds walking tour in the Land Pavillion. This family-friendly walking tour will take you through the space and Living with the Land attraction to give you some behind-the-scenes knowledge on how things operate and what you are seeing as well as research that is being done onsite. It is a super cool way to experience the attraction in a whole new light!
My fingers are crossed that as construction winds down, special tours and events begin to come back for the park we all love. Please feel free to visit us again with any further questions you may have, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
