Hiya, Adam! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m always happy to help a fellow holiday planner who understands the importance of dining reservations. It’s like I always say, you can’t vacation on an empty stomach (I actually just came up with that, but it doesn’t make it any less true)!
I’ve had to make Walt Disney World dining reservations for a party of 15, so I do have a few tips to share. Not every restaurant is set up to accommodate large groups (more on that in a minute), and trying to make reservations for a party of 10 may limit your options.
When making reservations online, I would suggest splitting your party into two groups of 5 and finding two reservation times close to each other. You can then stop by the host stand about an hour before your reservations and let the Cast Member know the two groups are together and you’d like to be seated near each other. It’s not always possible, but Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your request.
I’ll also add that this method works best if you have another person helping book reservations. You can also call 0800 169 0748 to speak with a Cast Member, and they can help you navigate your options.
As I mentioned, some Walt Disney World dining locations are better for large groups than others, such as family-style or buffet restaurants. Based on my travels, I’d suggest these restaurants for a party of 10:
- ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Village Resort
- Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge
- Biergarten at EPCOT
-
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge -
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Resort (I’ll admit that I haven’t dined here, but I’ve only heard good things, and everyone says it's good for groups)
Best of luck making your dining reservations, Adam! Pop right back if you have any other vacation planning questions or need more recommendations. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
