Jambo, Anne!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you are planning a split stay at two of my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Having two uniquely themed Resorts as part of your vacation is like having two vacations in one! How magical is that!
Anne, you absolutely can have your bags transferred from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas to
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. When you are checking out of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, simply go to the
Bell Services Desk and let them know you need them transferred to the Polynesian and they will take care of this for you and provide you a ticket. Once you are all checked into your new home away from home in the Polynesian, let
their Bell Services Desk know that you have bags coming from Animal Kingdom Villas and provide them the information they need so they can get you your bags in your new room.
Now, let's talk about your bare necessities. You can certainly have non-perishable and unopened foods transferred, as long as they are packaged up in a bag and left with your bags at Bell Services to be transferred. Sometimes, perishable foods can be held at some Resorts, but most can't be transferred because the
Resorts have different policies as to whether or not they will have the capacity to store perishable items. For this reason, typically, they won't transfer perishable foods as they can't guarantee refrigeration and it may spoil. Additionally, the length of time between check-out and check-in times typically exceeds how long these items can be left outside and with the heat in Florida in July, it will likely spoil quickly.
My recommendation would be to buy smaller packages of refrigerated items to use at your first Resort. Then, once you get to the Polynesian, as a DVC Member, you can s
ubmit a grocery order form for grocery delivery to your new Resort! This way, you'll have everything you need, like magic.
I hope this helps you, Anne. If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here and I'll be so happy to help you.
Mahalo,
Keri
