We're beginning to start a family of 12 vacation to WDW. Family of 6, family of 4, and family of 2. One of my grandsons has a disability. So we want to stay in an onsite resort with easy accessibility, like the monorail, busses, boats.

Hiya, Jeffrey! Welcome to planDisney. Choosing a Disney Resort Hotel is one of the most important choices you can make when planning your vacation. Lucky for you (and for all who choose to stay on property) each option is truly fantastic! Let's take a look and see which hotels will provide your family with the most transportation options.

My top recommendation is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I stayed here in May of 2025 and fell in love! We enjoyed daily DOLE Whip® at Pineapple Lanai, slid down a volcano water slide at the Lava Pool, and took in fireworks views each evening on the beach. It really is an amazing resort with some wonderful amenities, including many types of transportation. Let's kick off our transportation exploration by looking at the monorail.

The Polynesian is on the monorail loop and has a station conveniently located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House. You can use this station to head to Magic Kingdom, the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), or any of the other hotels on the loop, including Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Polynesian is also just a short walk from the TTC, which will allow you to hop on the monorail toward EPCOT if you don't want to ride the monorail loop all the way around.

The Polynesian also has boats that will whisk you across Seven Seas Lagoon to Magic Kingdom, and bus transportation that can get your party to other locations like Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, or the water parks.

Some other good options include any of the hotels on Crescent Lake, like Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club, or Disney's Beach Club. These hotels are walking distance to EPCOT, provide bus transportation across Walt Disney World Resort, and offer FriendShip Boats to Hollywood Studios. You also won't be far from the Disney Skyliner which can take you to Hollywood Studios, just hop off and transfer at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

Wowza, that's a lot of transportation, Jeffrey! I hope this illustrates the wide variety of hotel choices that have top-notch transportation options. Come visit me again here at planDisney if you need additional suggestions or have more questions about transportation. Your wish is my command!

    Stay magical,
    Scott
