Hi Teri,
It's so nice to see you stopping by planDisney and planning well in advance for a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!
The short answer is YES! I think your grandchildren will love EPCOT. With
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure opening and
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind expected to open prior to your visit, there will be plenty to enjoy at EPCOT. Check the
Attractions List for EPCOT paying attention to the height requirements and decide which attractions your little ones will be able to enjoy. Frozen Ever After, Journey into the Imagination with Figment, Living with the Land, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends might all be rides that your grandchildren will enjoy. When we brought our girls on their first visit, one of them had just reached 40 inches tall and she was super excited to be cleared by a Cast Member to ride Soarin' Around the World. Our girls still adore EPCOT. And, looking at your anticipated arrival date, you all should also be there during the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.
Depending on how long your trip will be, I would actually suggest at least two parks. Magic Kingdom has so many rides little ones would enjoy. And there is nothing quite like walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and seeing Cinderella Castle. Both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom also have new nighttime spectaculars debuting on October 1. We cannot wait to see
Harmonious at EPCOT and
Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom.
Teri, since you have some time, keep doing your research and think about adding another park day. If you have not done so already, review the
Disney Resorts Collection and do some
vacation package pricing for comparable dates this year to give you an idea of what the trip might cost. And start looking at the Special Offers. I always keep an eye on the
Special Offers page since offers are released throughout the year.
The good news is that you have quite the superhero crew coming to visit. We are thrilled to see you honing those planning powers to design the most
Incredible Disney Day!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
