We are in the very beginning stages of planning a Disneyworld vacation. The girls will be 5 & 7 when we go. We are leaning towards the cabins or the family suites at A of A. Any opinions on one over the other?

    Hi LeAnn!

You have narrowed your resort hotels to two fantastic choices. Which one will be your family's perfect fit? To answer that question, let's examine what each of them has to offer.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort provide the perfect space to "rough it" in a private woods cabin. The cabins can comfortably accommodate your family as they are quite spacious. They have fully equipped kitchens which can help you curb costs. You can even order groceries prior to arrival, and prepare some of your family's favorite meals during your stay there. You'll be able to access Magic Kingdom via boat ride, which is extremely convenient when traveling with young children. However, since the resort is quite spread-out, getting around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds will require the use of the internal bus system, or renting an electric golf cart.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is my family's favorite Disney value resort. Its larger-than-life characters, whimsical theming and incredible pools, makes it an instant hit with kids of all ages. This resort has a fantastic food court too, Landscape of Flavors. Furthermore, it is only a short walk over to Disney's Pop Century Resort, so you could even make use of both food courts during your stay. In order to access any of the Disney Theme Parks, you'll have to jump on a bus. However, these are generally quick rides as the resort has its own dedicated bus service. Now for the one amenity that could easily become the deciding factor for you. The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort have two bathrooms! Now, that alone can generally tip the scales in its favor.

Please rest assured that no matter which Disney resort you ultimately end up selecting for your family's stay, your girls will absolutely love every minute of your visit.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
