We are beginning our planning for Sept/Oct 2018. We think we want to split between 2 resorts and I am wondering how difficult that is to plan? Also, do the resorts transfer your baggage when you are switching hotels?

    Hi Elisa,

Fall travel to the Walt Disney World Resort is always a good idea to my mind. The weather is more moderate but still sunny and warm, the crowd levels tend to be lower as the kids are back in school, and this time of year also coincides with two of my favorite special events, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party!

I can also assure you that Disney makes it incredibly easy to transfer between two Disney Resort hotels. In fact, it is so easy that our family will often intentionally split our vacation time between two Disney Resorts. This makes for an easier decision when selecting among many of our family's favorite Disney Resorts, and also allows us to enjoy the unique amenities and conveniences of two different Disney Resorts during a single trip.

On check-out day for your first Resort, simply pack up all of your luggage before heading out to enjoy the Parks for the day, and either call or drop everything off with Bell Services. Cast Members here will ensure that your luggage is transferred to your new Resort by late afternoon. Once you have checked into your new Resort, simply contact Bell Services who will be pleased to escort all of your belongings to your new room. Luggage transfer services between Disney Resort hotels is completely free, although it is customary to provide gratuities to the Bell Services Cast Members who do all of the "heavy lifting", ensuring the safe transfer of your belongings.

Should you have any other questions as you continue to plan for your trip, please be sure to send them our way. We would love to hEAR from you again!

Wishing you a Magical upcoming Disney vacation!
