We are just beginning to plan our first trip to disney for our daughter 7th bday in February of 2025.We have no clue how much this will cost so we are trying to look at resorts. It will not let us go to February 2025 for check in dates. When can we plan?

Welcome to planDisney, Dina. You've certainly come to the right place!

Firstly, happy 7th birthday, Dina's daughter! I know I'm a bit early, but is it ever really too early to celebrate? I think not! But it is a bit early to set plans in stone on the Walt Disney World Resort website at this time.

Currently, you can book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation until the end of 2024. The next calendar year usually goes on sale during the late spring/early summer timeframe of the current year. So, I would recommend following along with the Disney Parks Blog so you can be one of the first to know when 2025 vacations are ready to be booked!

But don't fret. This doesn't mean you can't do some planning in the meantime. Especially for such a special occasion! Start to think about what resort theming your daughter might enjoy. Does she want over-the-top Disney theming? Well, then Disney's Art of Animation Resort is where it's at! Do you want to be a short walk away from Magic Kingdom Park at all times? Look no further than Disney's Contemporary Resort. Look around at the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels on the website and see what options might speak to her!

And then there are experiences to think about. There are character meals, tons of incredibly immersive attractions and shows, and special add-ons from the Enchanting Extras Collection, like the oh-so-popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park. There really is something for everyone and there are so many options. So start to make a list. But don't get overwhelmed. Once your hotel and tickets are booked and connected to your account, you can use the Disney Genie Service on the My Disney Experience mobile app to help plan your itinerary each day. Simply log into the app, click on the three horizontal lines (☰) at the bottom right-hand corner, select "My Disney Genie Day," and select "My Day" on the upper right. After, select the "Change Day" option, select the day you want to plan, and then press "Get Started" under "An Incredible Disney Park Day Awaits." Then, you'll press "Start Now" and follow the prompts to tell the all-powerful Genie your preferences. When the magical day arrives, it will give you suggestions tailored specifically to you!

Dina, it's going to be a magical birthday celebration, especially because you're so on top of things. Be sure to reach out again with any other questions leading up to your vacation!

A very merry birthday to you,
    Matt

P.S. Don't forget to get a Celebration Button at a Guest Relations location in the theme parks or the Front Desk of your hotel. This will let everyone know it's your daughter's special day. I hope she wears it proudly and some magic comes her way!
