I am beginning to plan our disney vacation. At the time of our trip (May 2013) my boys will be 3 and 15 months. My one son has a peanut and egg allergy. Are there special accommadtions for children with allergies if you purchase the dining plan?

Hi Megan! Walt Disney World is one place where you can feel good about keeping children happy when they have food allergies. Vacations can become stressful and Disney understands that and makes it as easy as possible.

When you are making a dining reservation there is a spot for you to add any food allergies your family might have. When you get to the restaurant and are seated if the wait staff does not ask immediately then please mention to him/her that your son has food allergies. A chef will be sent to your table to discuss the options for your son and if necessary will prepare something for him special.

It is a little more difficult when dining at a Quick Service location. Many of those cast members are simply servers and might not be aware of the ingredients of all the food served. Please ask to see a manager before you order. Each location is supposed to have a binder with the food and the ingredients and you can discuss what would be ok for your son to eat. Never take anything for granted and always ask for a person in charge when needing this information.  I am sure you will find that your vacation will be magical in all ways!
