Hi Laura! Greetings from a fellow Palmetto state resident.
Oh me, oh my, oh Mickey! Planning a
Walt Disney World vacation, especially if it's your first trip or you have not been in a few years, can leave you befuddled. Let's look at a few simple steps to help you get started.
1)
Lodging With six adult Mouseketeers in your party, you have a lot of schedules to deal with, so work out your travel dates first. Once you've determined your trip days, think about your budget for lodging. Do you want to splurge and stay at a
deluxe Walt Disney World Resort located on the monorail or do you want to hit the parks every moment possible and just crash at a
value resort at the end of each day? Plug your dates into the
resort reservations, see your options, and book your rooms. Each room you reserve online will need a separate reservation; you may request adjoining rooms or rooms near each other.
2)
Theme Parks Book your theme park tickets next. A
standard ticket grants you entry into one theme park per day and a
Park Hopper allows you to visit multiple parks per day. Consider the add-on
Disney Genie+ which allows you to skip the stand-by line for
Lightning Lane access one attraction at a time throughout the entire day. Check the
theme park availability calendar before you buy your tickets; you will need to
reserve a theme park for each day once you have your tickets.
3)
Dining Would you like to enjoy a nice sit down dinner at
Epcot's World Showcase or experience dining in a castle?
Dining reservations open up 60 days before your arrival and popular locations book very quickly. Of course, a fun character breakfast is a perfectly acceptable way for adults to start the day!
This check list will get you started on an amazing trip to see the mouse! As you progress through your planning, you will probably have additional questions. Here at
planDisney we would be happy to answer them for you.
Wishing you a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
