Hello there, Laura!
A Disney Cruise Line vacation is a wonderful way to kick off the New Year! You'll be cruising before you know it, and I’d be happy to share a few tips with you to help you get started.
First, I highly recommend completing your
online check-in as soon as it becomes available 30 days before you set sail at midnight Eastern time. I like to get as much time aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships as possible, and checking in online as soon as the window opens often leads to an earlier boarding window.
Once the online check-in window opens, you will need to enter the
citizenship documentation, credit card information, and a photo for each member of your travel party. I like to pull all of these materials together a few weeks before the check-in window to ensure everyone in my party is good to go.
Here’s a pro tip for the photo: Photos need to be in a JPEG format, and the security process will go much smoother as long as the photo is taken from the shoulders up, against a white background, and you don’t have glasses or a hat obstructing your face.
Laura, after you enter all of your travel party’s information, you can select a Port Arrival Time and receive an Online Check-In Port Arrival Form to present when you arrive at the port. It may take some time for the security process to be completed, and your check-in status may say that it’s pending while your information is reviewed. If your status says pending five days before your departure, I suggest calling a friendly Cast Member to see what may be causing the delay. I hope these tips help you have a nautical vacation.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
