Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Blaire! I’m sure you’re going to have such fun on your upcoming family vacation. Christmastime has that added magic that lingers in the air; maybe it’s just the snow on Main Street U.S.A. during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party… it’s the most wonderful time of year.
I’m so sorry to have to tell you that wagons of any kind are still not permitted in the Parks. This is due to crowd sizes and navigating the item around the Parks. Even with a doctor’s note, it’s still a restricted item. I have a child around your child’s age, and he’s a lanky thing! If I needed a stroller or means to wheel him around the park (and he’s often told me how tired his legs get while walking around World Showcase), I would opt for a
standard wheelchair rental. They are relatively inexpensive for length-of-stay rentals and have little footrests on them and a nice brake lever to keep them steady while seated. The other option is the hard-backed
Disney stroller rental; they have a wonderful leg area and tiny bumper to keep everyone “contained” in the stroller, plus the sunshade is a great addition for napping kids or simply to keep your ice cream lasting a little longer. My grade-schooler still fits in the double sized stroller, so it’s a treat when we are able to rent one.
If I can help you find other ways to get around the park, or perhaps introduce you to the watercraft or monorail options, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
