I have a 1-bedroom villa reserved at Disney World's Boardwalk in early July2025. I was wondering if it is safe to assume that my room will be a renovated villa. Have they (or will) they announce when the room refurbishments are complete?

Welcome to planDisney, Karen! Thanks for sharing your question about the BoardWalk Inn and Villas, the sparkling crown jewel of Crescent Lake.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m a huge fan of the BoardWalk resort. I think it’s one of the best-looking resorts at Walt Disney World, especially when it’s lit up in the evening, and its location between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios gives guests easy access to both theme parks. Add in a fantastic selection of restaurants, and what more could you want from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel?

I stopped by the BoardWalk Inn on my recent spring trip to the Vacation Kingdom to ask this exact question, and the helpful Cast Members at the front desk informed me that renovations on guest accommodations are complete. So you’re intuition is correct! You’re upcoming stay is likely to be in a renovated 1-bedroom villa. Woo hoo!

You’ve picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World, Karen. Since you’ll be a quick walk, Skyliner trip, or water taxi ride away from the park, you won’t want to miss the two—that’s right, two—new shows debuting at Hollywood Studios. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure are both scheduled to open the week before you arrive on May 27, 2025. And don’t forget about the complimentary water park admission Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests get on their check-in day in 2025 and summer 2026. Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Which aquatic adventure will you choose?

I hope this information was helpful and that you have the best time on your upcoming vacation. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. Our knowledgeable panelists are always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
