Hi there, Richard, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're planning an exciting Christmastime vacation to Walt Disney World Resort and would like to explore options for some of the larger hotel rooms available in the
Disney Resorts Collection. Let's get to it!
Richard, I'm so glad you've reached out with this question today. My extended family loves to travel as a big, multi-generational group, and we often spend our vacation in a 2-Bedroom Villa or a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa. You can find 2-Bedroom Villas that feature three full bathrooms at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village as well as at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Each of these resorts offers a host of benefits, and you can't go wrong with either choice!
You'll love staying in a 2-Bedroom Villa - there is so much space to spread out and make yourself at home. With a full kitchen, living and eating areas, washer and dryer, and lots of intentional storage space, your group will enjoy every minute spent in the room. Having a large refrigerator and the ability to do laundry in our room has been a game-changer for my family, and we really appreciate the privacy of the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is one of my favorite resorts, and if you're visiting during the holiday season, you'll get to experience it with all of the beautiful Christmas decor. My top tip is to spend some time relaxing with a warm drink in the lobby, with the ambient Christmas music performed by African artists. I actually found the holiday playlist online and enjoy listening to it at home! If the weather is warm enough, be sure to check out the
Samawati Springs Pool. Lastly, make an Advance Dining Reservation for dinner at
Sanaa and order the Indian-Style Bread Service appetizer!
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort offers the ability to be super close to
Magic Kingdom Park. The short walking path that connects the resort to the park is lovely, and the convenience can't be beat. Some of the rooms in this hotel offer theme park views, where you can sit on your balcony each night and enjoy the fireworks from Magic Kingdom - there's even a speaker on your balcony so you can listen to the accompanying music!
Richard, as you can tell, I'm a big fan of Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and I love staying in a large room that can accommodate lots of family members. If you have any other questions about these, or any other hotels, please feel free to reach out to me again! And if you'd like any recommendations about where to find awesome meals, snacks, and beverages during your vacation, you have a friend in me!
See you real soon!
