Hi Muriel, and welcome back to
planDisney!
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is my home resort as a
Disney Vacation Club Member, and my family has enjoyed several memorable stays here. We love the proximity to
Disney Springs and tranquil atmosphere courtesy of the surrounding
golf course. I can't wait for you to experience the beautifully refurbished rooms; they're fresh and sophisticated with touches of Disney everywhere you look.
There are two types of two-bedroom villas at this resort, both accommodating nine guests plus an additional infant under age 3. Two-bedroom lock-off villas are comprised of a connecting deluxe studio and a one-bedroom villa, each with an entrance to the exterior hallway. In these accommodations, the deluxe studio includes a queen-size bed and a queen-size pull-down bed. The adjoining one-bedroom villa offers a king-size bed in the master bedroom as well as a double-size pull-down bed and a twin-size pull-down bed in the living area.
Dedicated two-bedroom villas feature a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with two queen-size beds, and a central living area that includes a double-size pull-down bed and twin-size pull-down bed.
The only two-bedroom villas that do not provide sleeping space for nine Guests are handicap-accessible, as these are not furnished with twin-size pull-down beds under the living room televisions. If you have nine registered Guests in your party and do not request an accessible villa, you will not be assigned to one of these.
Muriel, if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member reserving your stay with points, you will be able to choose your villa type; dedicated two-bedroom villas and two-bedroom lock-off villas are separate booking categories. My family has stayed in both types of lodgings and find advantages for either. When my children were small, we preferred the lock-off villas so older family members could come and go through the separate entrance without disturbing my napping Mouseketeers. If you'd prefer a single door to your rooms, a dedicated two-bedroom villa might be best for your group. If you reserved your stay through
Walt Disney World Reservations, you can call to have a Cast Member add a note requesting your preferred type of villa.
I hope these details are helpful. Please don't hesitate to send any other questions our way that may come up before your spectacular spring vacation.
Have a magical day,
Betsy
