Hello Teri-Lyn, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by en route to your tropical getaway at
Disney's Old Key West Resort. It's one of my family's favorite places to kick back and relax at
Walt Disney World, so I'm thrilled to hear you'll be calling it home on your next vacation.
At Disney's Old Key West Resort, accessible villas will either be located on the ground level or in buildings 62, 63, or 64 which have elevators. I recommend booking your two-bedroom villa over the phone so a Cast Member can note that you require an accessible villa with a roll-in shower. If you've already made your reservation, simply
call Member Services (if this is a
Disney Vacation Club stay) or
Walt Disney World Reservations to add this request. In a two-bedroom villa, the roll-in shower will be attached to the master bedroom with the king-size bed.
Teri-Lyn, I hope you have a wonderful stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort. My family was so impressed by the accommodations here that we became Disney Vacation Club Members after our first stay in a one-bedroom villa at this resort. The open-concept living area is the perfect place to gather together and wind down after a busy theme park day. We like to bring some easy-to-pack board games from home to use in this space for rainy afternoons or quiet evenings. And speaking of quiet evenings, if you want to dine in the comfort of your villa but don't feel like cooking on vacation, consider placing a
mobile order for
Olivia's Cafe To Go and bringing in some Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken and Key Lime Tart to enjoy in your spacious dining area.
Thanks again for sending your question our way, and if there's anything else we can do to help before your magical adventure begins, come back and see us again. We're all ears!
Betsy
