We will becoming to Disney the week of Dec 7-13 ( we will be celebrating our sons 2nd birthday there!)!! We are wondering about the weather. We have only came in spring and summer in the past. Does it rain every afternoon that time of the year?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Lisa ~

Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate a 2nd birthday! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come his way.

December is a fabulous time to visit the parks and resorts! They are gorgeous all decked out for the Christmas holiday season and you are going to love it.

The weather in December is usually pretty pleasant. The average high temperatures are in the low-70s and average lows in the low-50s. They usually get around 2 inches of rain during the month of December. The humidity is also lower which makes for a nice day. They typically do not get the afternoon thunderstorms in the afternoon like they do in the spring and summer.

Keep in mind that these are averages. I was there one year in early December and we got a lot of rain. Another year I was there, the temperature dropped into the 20s. That is rare in Florida but just goes to show you that you never know exactly what the weather is going to do that time of the year. Most of my December trips were awesome weather wise. I always recommend checking the forecast right before your trip in case you need to add something during your final packing.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We will be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
