How do you become a member?

    Welcome to planDisney, Lisa!

Lisa, do you remember that opening sequence of Disney’s the Lion King, when the animals gathered, the sun was rising on the savanna and the iconic soundtrack started? That is exactly the feeling I had reading this question.

As a Disney Vacation Club Member I can’t stop talking about my love of this special “club” with family, friends, and now… YOU! Lisa, my family and I became Disney Vacation Club Members in 2017 because I was always planning my next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. We wanted flexibility to enjoy different seasons of the year, different resorts and different types of accommodations. If your dreams sound like mine, then Disney Vacation Club just might fit you like the glass slipper fit Cinderella.

My first recommendation is to explore the Disney Vacation Club website and complete the request for video information. This is a quick guide and definitely worth watching. If you’ve already done all of your homework and are ready to purchase points, you can begin by calling into the Sales Center at (407) 566-3100 and asking to be connected to a Disney Vacation Club guide.

Since joining Disney Vacation Club is done through the purchase of a real estate interest, I recommend looking at the Disney Vacation Club Points charts to get an idea of how many points will best suit your traveling party. I love that you can purchase a large points package if you’re hoping to travel “home” multiple times throughout the year or a smaller package if your travel plans are more modest. Lisa, I also love that you can choose to stay in Disney Vacation Club Resorts not only at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, but at Disneyland in California or (if you’re looking for a leisurely beach vacation) Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in Florida or Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas in Hawai'i.

Lisa, I hope this helps kickstart your journey to Membership. My fellow planDisney panelists and I love answering questions about Disney Vacation Club, so I hope you'll come back with a lot more questions as you continue to learn about this special vacation ownership option.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Wishing you a lifetime of Magical trips.

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Pennsylvania

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
