Hi. I just became aware of runDisney and my children and I are just getting into running. Is there a way to find out when registration opens - sold out already! - and travel deals at the times of races?

    Hi Lynne!

I am so glad you found out about runDisney!  My family and I love making runDisney race weekends into Disney vacations, and it's a great way to get everyone to stay active!

The best thing to do is to familiarize yourself with the runDisney website to see all of the races that are offered and the dates.  The dates will change from year to year, but they stay around the same time.  On the website, you can sign up for an email reminder to let you know ahead of time when race registration will open for all races.  This is a great way to know in advance!

If you are on Facebook, be sure to "like" the official Run Disney Facebook page.  They announce upcoming registrations and events on there, too.  You should also follow them if you are on Twitter, the official account is @rundisney.

Some race weekends will offer runner discounts on rooms and park tickets, but some do not.  Once you choose a race, you will receive information about that.

I hope this helps you find a weekend for your family to go!  I just got back from the Tower of Terror 10-Miler and had a blast!!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
