Hi. I just became an annual passholder and am hoping to book a room for both me and my parents. Can I apply my discount to my parents room if they want to stay at a different resort than me during the same dates? Would I be the lead guest on both rooms?

    Hiya Sara,

Welcome back to planDisney! Also, congratulations on becoming an Annual Passholder! As a Passholder myself, I love being able to take my little Mouseketeers just to drop in for a visit or for long weekends. Plus, the discounts on dining and merchandise have made my Annual Pass even sweeter!

Speaking of reasons to love being an Annual Passholder, I’m so glad that you are already thinking of taking advantage of the exclusive Annual Passholder deal on select resort hotel stays. I spoke to a Cast Member, and generally, you are able to use your Annual Passholder room rate for up to 3 resort hotel rooms (provided you are staying in at least one of them). I say generally, Sara, because sometimes there are specific exclusions associated with the offers that may prohibit you from doing so. I always recommend taking a peek at the “Important Details” section below the deal before you apply it, just to be sure. If the special offer/rate does not restrict you to only one room, then you should be able to reserve up to 3 rooms as long as the dates are the same (or overlapping). Now there is an additional caveat, Sara , however, that you will definitely need to consider. While you can reserve up to three rooms, potentially as I mentioned, all Guests must be staying at the same resort hotel. You wouldn’t be able to book a room for yourself at Pop Century and one for your parents at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa using the Annual Passholder rate, for example. Only your room would be covered.

I hope this was helpful, Sara. I know this might not have been the answer you were hoping for, but the good news is that even if you aren’t able to apply the Passholder rate to both rooms in this scenario, you do have options. The first option is for you all to stay at the same resort hotel (if the offer isn’t limited to one room), and the second option is to apply a different deal to your parents' room. Walt Disney World Resort is constantly adding new special offers, so no matter when you are planning to visit, there is always a chance you will find one to fit your trip. For example, if you are planning to visit us earlier this fall, you can save up to 30% on resort hotel stays at select Disney resort hotels! Be sure to take a peek at the Special Offers page before you book to make sure you are getting the best deals for your upcoming trip. Of course, you always have friends here at planDisney, Sara, so please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
