Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Jill. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I totally agree with you, Jill, the resorts at
Walt Disney World are amazing. I think you'll be happy to know that it is quite alright to spend some time exploring other resorts while you are on vacation. A few things to keep in while exploring - you might not be able to park at the resort that you are checking out. It's best to use
Walt Disney World complimentary transportation to get to each resort as parking is limited and often reserved just for Guests staying at that particular resort or those with dining reservations. The second thing I wanted to mention is that the pool and pool deck is reserved for those Guests staying at that particular resort. Pool hopping is not allowed. Other than those few things, you are absolutely able to pop around to check things out.
One thing that my family and I love to do is what we call a monorail crawl. We pick one resort on the monorail loop to start at and then we enjoy a beverage and an appetizer at each one. My family and I were just at Walt Disney World just last week and here was our lineup:
The bars and lounges at restaurants at Walt Disney World operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Often times when we do something like this, there isn't a wait at all. Children are also more than welcome to sit at the bar or in the lounge area as well. So my family of 3 enjoyed cocktails, mocktails and an appetizer at each location. When we finished the evening off at Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort we had a perfect viewing spot for the fireworks. It was such a fun way to end the day.
I hope you'll have fun exploring other resorts at Walt Disney World, Jill. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
