Hi Beatrice! I am a FL res too & wonder best way to book a vacation. MYW packages online won't give FL discount but w/o package, can't book DDP. What's the secret? Do I need to do everything by phone? Book all separately? Thanks for the advice!

Hello fellow Floridian!    Based upon my past experience, I typically book hotel-only reservations via the Disney website.   When I do this, I generally have no problem with receiving Florida or Annual Passholder discounts.     For the few times I have booked larger vacation packages, I chose to conduct this over the phone.  I found they provided me all the details I need and when available receive any associated discounts.

Let me offer two other suggestions for you to consider.   Given the frequency of my visits to Disney, I actually find the best ticket option for my family is either the Florida Resident Season or Annual pass.  Here is a link to Florida Resident ticket options.   In addition, an alternative to the traditional dining plan you can consider is the Florida Resident Disney Dining Experience membership.   For a fee, you can obtain discounts to numerous Disney restaurants.    This is best for someone who plans to visit fairly frequently throughout a 12 month period and prefers not to purchase a full dining plan but only select certain dining meals.  Hope this helps!
