The Beak and Barrel souvenir mugs/cups that you can order your beverage in: what are they made of? And are they really $50 each?

Welcome to planDisney, Janet! It sounds to me like you've got reservations coming up at The Beak and Barrel, which is so exciting. I'll be going early next month during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and I'm so excited! My whole crew is dressing up like a band of pirates, so we'll fit right in.

The Beak and Barrel souvenir mug is ceramic, with that hefty, keepsake feel you want from a themed vessel. When you order one, the price includes the drink that comes with it: the Plunderer's Punch, a tropical-spiced cocktail made with The Kraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, lime, and vanilla. You'll enjoy your drink served in the mug at the lounge, and when you're finished, your server will bring you a brand-new, clean mug in a box to take home, so you're not taking the one you just drank from. It's a nice way to make sure your keepsake is spotless and ready for display.

Some care tips for when you get home: since it's ceramic and decorated, many collectors hand-wash their mug to keep it looking pristine. It's a good idea to keep the box if you like to store your collectables between seasons. It's great to bring out around Halloween!

I hope this answers your question, Janet, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
