Hi Rachel,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a great question about the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks!
I’m planning to spend several days at
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park during my next visit. A day there is the perfect combination of Disney thrills, but with a laid-back atmosphere to soak up every last bit of the Florida sun.
That said, it can get HOT in Central Florida, especially in the summer months, so it’s important to use a ton of sunscreen… and find shade! From what I understand,
Walt Disney World Resort property rules don’t allow Guests to bring large beach umbrellas to the Water Parks. While there are typically lots of umbrellas and lounge chairs available for use, especially if you get to the Parks early, you can also
rent an Umbrella at Typhoon Lagoon or even a
Beachcomber Shack if you’d like some more space for you and your party to spread out. I’ve rented both and I highly recommend them as options for your next visit.
I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect, “splashtacular” day! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
