Hey there, Kimberly...welcome to planDisney! Mickey and I are excited that you're planning to return to the magic soon!
Although the non-DVC sections of certain resort hotels are closed due to some (ahem)
long-legged visitors, I am happy to report that Disney's Beach Club Villas and The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
began welcoming back guests during the
initial reopening period on June 22. These accommodations offer Deluxe Studios, along with 1, 2, and 3-Bedroom Villas, and can be booked just like any other Disney hotel room, even if you're not a Disney Vacation Club Member.
The pastel greens and blues of
Disney's Beach Club Villas make it look like a seaside retreat, but instead of looking at the Atlantic Ocean, I almost prefer the view of the 25-acre Crescent Lake! One thing to note is that Stormalong Bay, the feature pool at this resort, is not currently available. However, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas is open, and guests are being allowed to utilize the
Luna Park pool over at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas as an alternative.
Over at Walt Disney World's flagship resort,
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are well known for their Victorian theming, and the best part is that you're just a monorail ride away from
Magic Kingdom Park. Luckily, one of my favorite restaurants,
the Grand Floridian Cafe, is still open for dining, and they serve up some Buttermilk-fried Chicken with Smashed Potatoes that is to die for! This place is a hidden gem (shh...let's keep that between us).
I hope you have a magical stay, Kimberly! Come back and see us again real soon!
