My 50th bday is in Aug & I'd like to have dinner in Cinderella's Castle. Only my son & I have FL Res Ann Passes will I have to buy a ticket for my husband in order to have dinner there? How far in advance will I need to make a reservation?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather!

Cinderella taught us that a dream is a wish your heart makes, and celebrating a milestone birthday inside her castle at Magic Kingdom Park really sounds like a dream come true to me. You'll get to enjoy a delicious signature meal with your family while the Disney Princesses celebrate with you and, of course, take some photos too. It's one of the most popular meals at Walt Disney World Resort so let's chat about how you can make a reservation and what kind of Theme Park admission is required to dine there.

The booking window for advanced dining reservations opens up 180 days before you want to dine, or 180 days before your arrival date if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. You're within that booking window right now, so feel free to check as soon as you can to see if there are any open tables on your birthday. If you don't find a time right away, there's no need to worry. Reservations that are made through My Disney Experience are flexible so guests are changing their plans all the time and you never know what might pop up! Be flexible about the time that you want to dine, and remember that Cinderella's Royal Table is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so have an open mind about when you celebrate. Once you secure a reservation, it will need to be paid for in advance at the time you make it, so keep that in mind when you're booking as well.

Because Cinderella's Royal Table is located inside Magic Kingdom Park, everyone who will be joining you will require valid Theme Park admission. You and your son will be covered by your annual passes, but your husband will need his own ticket as well. I think this is a great opportunity to make a day of it! You can spend the whole day riding your favorite attractions, eating your favorite snacks, and you can cap it all off with your meal at Cinderella's Royal Table and a viewing of Happily Ever After. Make sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button at Guest Relations so that everyone knows it's your birthday and can join in the celebration with you!

    Have a magical day, Heather!
