BCR, GF or Poly? Traveling end of August 2010 with kids 10, 11 & 12. All love water, booked BCR with water park, hopper. Debating on switching resort because of ease of monorail system. Pros/cons?

    Jamie:

    Stick with the Beach Club!

With kids who are the ages of yours, the 5-minute walk to Epcot's back gate and the 15-minute walk or boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios affords as much ease of transportation to a park as the monorail from the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian.  In fact, riding the monorail to Epcot from those hotels easily takes 30 minutes.  So, transportation ease from Beach Club is as much a pro for it as the monorail for Poly or GF.

What puts it over the top in my book is its water complex, complete with a water slide and crow's nest, sandy beach area and flowing waters that create a mini lazy river.  Because you love water--and it will be HOT in August--Beach Club provides the perfect water playground. The view of the Boardwalk at night is breathtaking and the myriad of activities surrounding the area gives it my vote.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
