Welcome back to planDisney, Abigail!
Thanks for visiting us with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit.
Disney transportation is actually one of my favorite perks of staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. If I have to drive, the trip doesn’t really feel like a vacation to me! I just love the fact that Disney wants us to leave the driving to them. I understand your concern about getting to the Magic Kingdom early enough to make your 8:00 a.m.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations.
Disney’s bus service from the resort hotels to the theme parks begins about 45 minutes to one hour prior to theme park opening. If Early Entry starts at 8:30, that means the buses will start running at least by 7:45 a.m., but they could start as early as 7:30 a.m. This would honestly make me a bit nervous too, so check with cast members at the front desk at your resort hotel to ask about options. If push comes to shove, you can always consider using a ride share service. Just keep in mind that unless you use
Disney’s Minnie Van service which has special magical privileges, you will be dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket Center instead of the Magic Kingdom gates. Allow for at least 30 additional minutes of travel time from the TTC to the gates.
Here’s to hoping that you don’t wind up singing a song about being late that a familiar White Rabbit made famous (no time to say hello, goodbye! I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!). Let us know if you have any additional planning questions, Abigail! We’re happy to help! See ya real soon!
