Welcome Home, Donna!
And a great big beautiful welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you are planning ahead for your next stay at Walt Disney World. Our family loves staying in the Disney Vacation Club Villas because they truly are your home sweet home, wherever you wander and wherever you roam.
Donna, I just did some research, and yes,
Bay Lake Tower does indeed have accessible rooms in the Villas. There are a few different types of accommodations available for accessibility, which range from wheelchair access to hearing accessibility options. Some of the bathrooms have transfer showers, and some have wheel-in showers. I am unable to confirm the toilet height, but when I clicked on a few of the accessible
Villas' amenity details, they note they have grab bars for the toilet and tub.
You can search specifically for accessible rooms at Bay Lake Tower on the Disney Vacation Club website and on the Walt Disney World website. When you put in your dates, there is a little box that says "accessible rooms only," and you can also filter the search to only show availability for this Resort. The room descriptions will identify the Villas by their bedrooms as well as whether they are wheelchair accessible, hearing accessible with additional features, and if they have a transfer shower or a roll-in shower. When you click on the room, you can see information about the room amenities, including the bathroom bars.
You can also call
Disney Vacation Club Member Services if you have specific needs beyond what is listed. They may be able to put a note on your reservation and help guide you a bit further on the Villa that would best suit your needs.
I hope this helps you, Donna! Remember, a dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. But if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.
Magically Yours,
Keri
