AT Bay Lake Tower, I see rooms are divided by resort view or preferred view or theme park view. I understand theme park view means seeing some part of Magic Kingdom from the room. Can you please describe what I would see with the other 2 view options?

How ya doin', Doug, and welcome to planDisney!

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is such a great place to stay. My friends and I have made some great memories there over the years. With multiple room types available, I can certainly see where choosing one could get a bit confusing. Not to worry, I'll walk you through the details so you can make the best choice for your vacation.

Resort View can often be considered the most budget-friendly of the three room types. The view might include landscaping, trees, or parking areas, or even buildings nearby. Now with a Preferred View room, the view gets a bit more scenic. You may sit on your balcony and get an eyeful of Bay Lake, the pool area, or more open courtyards. Now, a Theme Park View room offers a unique experience. Views of Magic Kingdom itself make watching fireworks from the comfort of your balcony a luxury. My friends and I spent a lovely evening sipping champagne in our matching jammies as Happily Ever After lit up the night from this exact room type.

Pro-tip: No matter what room type you select, just like the other resorts along the Monorail line,  watching the fireworks from Magic Kingdom is possible from multiple observation decks at this resort.

Doug, I hope I've been able to clear up any confusion. If you have any other questions, you know where to come back and see us. We're happy to help!

    Happy planning!
