Hi Lani,
Thanks for hopping over to planDisney with your thoughtful question about the different types of tickets available at Walt Disney World Resort. All tickets get you into
The World's Most Magical Celebration. All tickets include classic Disney attractions, newer thrills, and top-notch entertainment. All tickets come with pixie dust included. Let's dig into some Disney details.
A
Standard Theme Park Ticket grants entry into one of the
four theme parks each day of your ticket. Tickets can be purchased for 1-10 days, and the price per day decreases as you add more days. Multi-day tickets build in a few extra days before they expire and can be used on non-consecutive days. My husband requires a golf day on our Disney vacations and the kids and I always enjoy our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel/
Disney Springs days. In addition to a valid admission, a
park pass reservation is required for park entry each day. Be sure to check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar for real-time updates.
Adding the Park Hopper Option to a Standard Theme Park Ticket allows you to visit multiple theme parks in one day.
Park Hopper hours currently start at 2:00 p.m. each day. Presently, a park pass reservation is only required for your first park, and you must enter that park before park hopping. You can start at any of the four theme parks and hop to any of the four theme parks, including EPCOT, as long as park capacity allows. With the purchase of
Disney Genie+ service, a Park Hopper ticket allows you to book
Lightning Lane selections at multiple theme parks. In that case, your magic carpet takes the form of
a bus, water taxi, monorail, and/or the Disney Skyliner. Wondering if Genie+ is a smart investment for you? I recently shared my
personal experience using this new technology with another Guest.
The most important part of each Walt Disney World Resort ticket is the ticketholder. You are the magic, Lani, and I can't wait for your Disney story to come alive this summer. If planDisney can be of any further assistance, please let us know.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
