I have basic park tickets. If we make reservations for dinner offsite, would we be able to come back to the park we visited earlier that day?

Hi Leann and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I don't think my family would have survived some of our first Walt Disney World Resort vacations if I hadn't planned a break during the day. Sometimes we would have a long swim-then-nap break and other times we would leave the park for a meal and return later. I think it's a good idea to break up your day a little bit. Fortunately, even with a basic theme park ticket, you are allowed to leave the park and return later. You would need a Park Hopper if you planned to visit a different theme park but not to return to the same park.

There are so many amazing restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort that it makes sense to leave the park, enjoy a lovely meal, then return for the evening. I feel more energetic after a good break!

Leann, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
