To answer your question, the older versions of MagicBands are being phased out to make way for the newer
MagicBand+. Complimentary basic MagicBands that were previously sent to Resort hotel Guests have not been provided for several years. Currently, as a Resort hotel Guest, you can purchase a pre-arrival MagicBand+ at a discounted price. After making your Resort hotel reservation, you can log into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My MagicBands and Cards" to place your order. Since these selections change frequently, if you see a MagicBand you like, be sure to order it right away.
If you choose not to purchase a newer MagicBand+, you have two complementary options. One is the
Disney MagicMobile service, which is available through the
My Disney Experience app. The other option is to pick up a physical Key to the World card from your Resort hotel. Both of these options will hold your theme park tickets, reservations, and
