Based off your great suggestion (Ariane F) - as for ordering a cake from Amorette's for DD 8th birthday - if they don't deliver, how do I get it to SD@AP? Do I just bring it with me? Is it something that has to be done completely separate?

    Hiya Dan!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! I am so happy to hear that you appreciated my suggestions and that I could help you plan your magical day. It is truly such an honour to be able to help, and I am so glad you reached back out!

You are correct that Amorette's Patisserie, unfortunately, does not deliver at this time. To best answer your question, I asked a Cast Member if you would be able to bring your delicious dessert to your dining reservation, and she advised me that it would be on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, the best thing would be to ask at the restaurant's podium if this would be allowed, though she did let me know that Resort signature dining may be in a better position to accommodate this. The primary constraint would be that food safety is highly prioritized at the Walt Disney World Resort, but Disney Cast Members are always happy to help make your special day extra magical!

Speaking of treats, did you know that dessert parties are available at Magic Kingdom Park on most nights? The dessert parties are not only perfect for those of us with a big sweet tooth but also a great way to experience the fireworks with much lower crowds. Indeed, the parties start at Tomorrowland Terrace, where you will be able to enjoy 50th anniversary-themed and a variety of beverages. Then, your group will be escorted to a special area to watch Disney Enchantment with reduced crowds. Another great option would be to book a Fireworks Cruise for either nighttime spectaculars. This offering also allows you to enjoy a unique view of the fireworks without having to stand in the crowds of the theme parks while enjoying complimentary assorted snacks and beverages. The best part is that you can even request for your boat to be decked out with birthday decorations, which are also included in the price. Reservations for the dessert parties can be made online, but you must call (407) WDW-PLAY to book a specialty cruise. I believe both offerings would be the perfect addition to your birthday celebrations!

I hope this was helpful, Dan, and that your Disney vacation will be as magical as can be! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out. It is always a pleasure to help you plan such magical occasions. As Ellie said: "you and me, we're in a club now!"

    Have a magical day,
