Hello Annika!
Welcome to planDisney! Park hopping is a delightful way to enjoy exactly what you want at Walt Disney World Resort. I love Park Hopping to see a nighttime spectacular or enjoy a delicious meal. The flexibility of it is the best!
The
Park Hopper Option is a fun add-on to a
standard theme park ticket but it cannot be added onto just one day of your tickets. When purchased it is going to be applied for the entire 5-days that you have already purchased. The Park Hopper option can only be added to your ticket if there is at least one day still to be used. If you decide to wait till the last day to add Park Hopper know that the price will be the same whether you paid for it the first day or nearer to the end. My suggestion is that you not Park Hop at all or Park Hop for the entirety of your trip. However, if there is something that you truly want to enjoy in another Park it is worth paying for Park Hopper. It's very easy to upgrade the tickets in person by visiting the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs, or any
Guest Relations in the Parks. You can also do it right on your
My Disney Experience Mobile App by heading to the menu (click the three stacked horizontal lines on the bottom right) and then "My Tickets & Passes." Look for your 5-day ticket and you will see options to change your ticket. You will then be able to see the cost and determine if this is the best option for you.
I see that you are arriving during a special season! The
dates and details were recently announced and it looks like you will be arriving at the perfect time to enjoy
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It's one of my favorite special events of the year and fun for the whole family. One of the best things about purchasing a ticket to this special event is that you do not need a Park Hopper ticket to enter Magic Kingdom Park. This special event ticket will let you enter the Park at 4 pm which gives you time to enjoy the Park before the party starts at 7 pm. You can visit another Park in the morning with your standard ticket and then head to Magic Kingdom Park before 4 pm to line up to enter the party.
I hope this was helpful and if you have any questions let me know!
Happy Planning!
