Hello Carolyn!
Thanks for bringing your question our way. It looks like you’ll be heading to Walt Disney World Resort today, and if so, I’m happy to help you make the most of your
Disney Rewards Redemption card during your visit.
Eligible Disney Visa Cardholders can
earn rewards on qualifying everyday purchases and
redeem their Reward Dollars for goods, services, and more at most US Disney locations. You'll also have access to
special photo opportunities and other cardholder-exclusive perks! Once you've accumulated enough Reward Dollars to request a redemption card, you can order a physical card online or by phone and reload as needed. Take some time to review the
full terms & conditions, so you're aware of shipping estimates and usage guidelines.
It's my understanding that while your Disney Visa card can be saved to your Apple Wallet, your Disney Rewards Redemption card can't at this time. But not to worry! The
My Disney Experience app recently went through an update that allows guests to save their redemption cards directly to the MyDisney Wallet feature within the app. This makes redeeming your rewards in the parks even more convenient!
To add a card, head to the feature menu (☰) and scroll down to select “MyDisney Wallet” under the Account header. Next, click "Add a Payment Method" to save up to 6 different credit or debit cards,
Disney Gift Cards, or your Disney Rewards Redemption Card. You won’t be able to set the redemption card as your default method of payment, but you can still use it to complete a transaction by selecting “Use a Different Payment Method" during the checkout process.
Carolyn, I have one more workaround you might want to try. Did you know that you can add a
Digital Disney Gift Card to your Apple Wallet? If you'd like to use your redemption card to purchase a digital gift card online, my pal
Aena walks through the process of saving those here.
I hope this helps! Please come back and see us again with any additional questions. We're always happy to help.
Magic and memories,
Amy
