Hiya, Kristie!
I'm glad to extend a warm planDisney welcome to a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member. Isn't banking Vacation Points the best? If you ask me, there's no better feeling than knowing you have a few extra Points to use during your upcoming Use Year. Whether you're
saving up for a special trip or just using them to extend a visit by a night or two, those banked Points are sure to bring a special sprinkle of Membership magic to any vacation.
Disney Vacation Club Members have to option to
bank up to 100% of their allotted Vacation Points during months 1-8 of their Use Year. Once they've been banked, those Points can't be borrowed or re-banked and they expire at the end of the following Use Year. So, if your Points need to be banked by May 31st each year, this tells me that you have an
October Use Year –– that means that any Points you banked from last year will expire on September 30th. You can book a reservation anytime between now and the end of the Use Year to use those banked Points, but just remember that they won't be available for any nights booked on October 1st and later.
Before you arrive to use those banked Points, be sure to download your
new Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card so you can access all your
Member Benefits during your stay. You can download your card by using the
My Disney Experience mobile app to create a new
Disney MagicMobile pass. This will act as your new card and be saved to your smartphone's mobile wallet. It's easy and convenient –– just like any great DVC adventure should be!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Kristie. No matter how you choose to use your banked Vacation Points, I hope you have lots of Membership magic in your future!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
