Welcome Home, Terrance!
And a great, big, beautiful welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. As a Disney Vacation Club Member for the last 22 years, I love the flexibility Membership provides. When you have "extra" Vacation Points you can't use during your Use Year, getting to
Bank them for your next Use Year sure can help maximize even more magic in the future. It's a great way to enjoy Disney and beyond in the ways that best work for your family.
Terrance, to
Bank any unused Disney Vacation Club Points, you first need to double-check your
"Banking Deadline." This is the date by which you need to Bank any unused Vacation Points, and it is four months before the start of your next Use Year. If you don't Bank unused Vacation Points by this deadline, then you have to use them by the end of your current Use Year, or they are forfeited.
For example, our family has an October Use Year. In October of 2025, we will receive access to our 2025 Vacation Point allotment. Any leftover 2024 Vacation Club Points had to be banked by May 31st. If we hadn't done that, we would have until September 30th of this year to complete travel using our 2024 Vacation Points, or we would lose them.
So, first, double-check your Banking Deadline. Then, as long as you are within your Banking window, you can make this transaction on your Disney Vacation Club dashboard.
Simply visit the DVC website, log in to your account, go to the My DVC tab on the right, and click on "My Dashboard." There is a box that shows your Vacation Points and a link that says "Manage My Vacation Points." You should be able to Bank your points here. If you have any trouble, Member Services can assist you. Just note that Banking Vacation Points is a final transaction and can't be undone. Those Banked points will then be available for your next Use Year, and will need to be used by the end of that Use Year. Here are some
Banking FAQs that may help you as well.
I hope this helps you, Terrance! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
