Hey Howdy Hey Alton and welcome to planDisney!
I absolutely love having my
MagicBand in the parks, it makes it so easy to just tap and go for my park tickets, room key as well as purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort. One thing that our family of five has done recently is starting to reuse our MagicBands for more than one of our trips. Although this was an issue making sure they were assigned to the right people, let me take you through a few steps that helped me out in the past.
The first thing to do is to make sure that the right MagicBand is assigned to the right Guest. The way you would check it out is by logging into your
My Disney Experience Account. Once logged on, highlight your My Disney Experience account menu and select "My MagicBands and Cards". When you scroll towards the bottom, you should see everyone that is in your party and the MagicBands that they have linked to their account. If you are like me, you might have more than one linked to your account! Not to worry though, any of the MagicBands linked are still active and any will work.
If you find that the wrong MagicBand is assigned to the wrong Guest, the only way I was able to get this corrected was by
calling Disney at (407) 393-4357 and having a Cast Member help me out with this. One very helpful thing to do when you get to your resort, is to visit the check-in counter and have a Cast Member ensure the right privileges for the right account as well. The last trip we reused our MagicBands and I did not have charging privileges but my three-year-old daughter did!
One other option that I might suggest setting up a
Disney MagicMobile pass. This works just like your MagicBands but from your smart device. You can easily set this up from your My Disney Experience app on the device you plan on bringing to the parks. Tap on the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and you will see an option for Disney MagicMobile. Set up as many or as few as you would like. You can use this also interchangeably with your MagicBand, so you are not confined to just one option.
Good luck with your final weeks of preparation for your upcoming trip. Looks like in just a few short weeks we will be welcoming you to the Vacation Kingdom of the World! If you have any further questions let us know, we love talking about all things Disney!
Happy planning,
Nick
