Hi Dee,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins in just a few weeks, has the countdown started yet?
There isn’t a specific band, but you can add a certain service called the
Disability Access Service (DAS) which helps those who might have difficulty tolerating longer wait times. This service would be added to your My Disney Experience account and could be used by just tapping your
MagicBand or ticket when entering an attraction. To start your way through this process, you’ll want to
pre-register between 30 to two days in advance of your Theme Park visit.
When it’s time to pre-register, you’ll first want to make sure your “Friends and Family List” is up to date with your entire party in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (inclusive of the guest in need of the service). You’ll also want to make sure everyone has valid Theme Park admission as well as
Disney Park Pass reservations. Next, you’ll schedule your “Pre-Arrival Live Video Chat” with a Cast Member from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time. If you aren’t able to do a video chat, Hakuna Matata, just register on-site at
Guest Relations. After you’re registered, next you’ll move into the
DAS Advance Planning stage where you’ll select your rides.
Since you’re within your 30 day window, you can definitely go ahead and start this process! There’s also an
FAQ section that is super useful if you’d like to read more about the service.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your upcoming vacation, it’ll be here soon! If you have any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
