Welcome back to planDisney Andrea! As someone who has cruised with a toddler, I understand your concern.
I checked with the
Disney Cruise Line Help Center, and the representative confirmed that there is a
navigator verandah, which is an open-air porthole that does have an opening. The good news is the door to the verandah is made of metal, very heavy, and there is a lock at the top that a child aged 2 to 5 could not reach to unlock the door.
If this is not the type of stateroom you wish to book, Disney Cruise Line offers others! On the
Disney Magic, Inside staterooms have a porthole mirror and no exterior view. Oceanview staterooms have a porthole window to view outside without access to a verandah.
No matter your stateroom choice, you and your family will experience the magic of Disney Cruise Line with its exciting
live entertainment,
youth clubs, and
character meet and greets. If you have any other questions, sail back to
planDisney. We will be happy to help!
Adventure is out there!
