Ahoy Roderick!
Welcome back to planDisney! So happy to hear you have a
Disney Dream sailing scheduled. One of the most thrilling announcements about some of these itineraries to
The Bahamas was that they would include multiple stops at Castaway Cay. “You get a double dip, and you get a double dip!” In the past, only select itineraries offered Disney’s private island more than once on a cruise. Talk about an extra special treat!
I’m happy to report that Disney Cruise Line will be able to sail to and stop at Castaway Cay! Captain Mickey just announced that
all Guests 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to board the ship for all Bahamian itineraries beginning September 3 through November 1, 2021. This is to comply with The Bahamas’ requirement that passengers ages 12 and older be fully vaccinated in order for a ship to be allowed entry into any of its cruise ports. Since you will be sailing in December,
stay tuned to Disney Cruise Line to see if these requirements get extended to include your sail date or not.
The alternative is that Guests on these Bahamian sailings from
September 3 through November 1, 2021 may modify their sail date or cancel their sailing without any Disney-imposed cancellation fees by contacting Disney Cruise Line reservations at (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797 by September 3, 2021. And just to be clear, a Disney cruise sailing to Castaway Cay falls into this category since Castaway Cay is part of The Bahamas.
It’s nice to officially have an answer to this question and to know that Disney Cruise Line will still be setting sail into the fall, exploring the islands of The Bahamas. So pack that suntan lotion and sunglasses because
Castaway Cay is calling your name! This is certainly music to my ears, and I hope this news makes you very happy!
Roderick, I hope this means full steam ahead on your adventure at sea with Captain Mickey! Drop back by planDisney if we can help with any other part of your cruise planning.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
